Film. Illustration. Retouch.

Storyboards, previz and animation for film and advertising. Illustration and visualisation where the picture itself is the deliverable. Retouch on what already exists. Three doors, one desk.

Disciplines

Three things I do.

Film

Storyboard, previz, animation and rendering — for film and advertising. From first board to final frame.

Profile

From first sketch to final frame.

Hi, I'm André, a freelance Senior Artist for animation, 3D and illustration, based in Hamburg. I love bringing visual stories to life — combining classic craftsmanship with modern AI-assisted workflows. I cover the entire pipeline, from initial concept and storyboarding to final animation, rendering, and compositing across animated, live-action and AI-driven productions. I work remotely or on location, solo or plugged into your team.

Collaboration

Where I come in.

I come in early in the project, thinking in shots: staging, camera framing and shooting order — worked out in hand sketch, 3D blockout or generated frames, whichever lands it best and fastest for live-action, 3D or AI production.

I take shootingboards into timing, length and beat. From a simple boardomatic to a full 3D animatic. Actual focal lengths, rough animation and scene blocking, a first edit. On request, AI puts additional motion and a look on it already here. Fast to change, before anything is committed.

Previz

I come in wherever the pipeline needs me: rigging, 3D blocking and taking a shot through to final polish. Hand-keyed, simulation-driven, or built on motion capture. Solo, or plugged into your team.

Animation

Light is where a scene gets its mood. I shade and light from scratch or step into an existing setup — hero lights, atmosphere, materials that hold under the camera. Redshift, Octane, AI-driven rendering — whatever your pipeline calls for.

Lighting setup

From raw render to finished file. I retouch, composite and clean up the output — 3D passes, hand-drawn frames or generated images. Stills and motion, ready to ship or to feed whatever comes next in the pipeline.

Comp, retouch, deliver

Plug me into any point of a studio's production — or, on smaller projects, hand me the whole thing and I run it end to end. Remote or on location.
